Illuminated shelves and oak slatted backing in the Lancing media wall

Felpham media walls, planned for the way you watch

Films, television, music or a games console. We design a place for the equipment and the cables, then build the wall around the room, with visits available in Felpham.

Cottage walls and newer family rooms

Felpham ranges from brick and flint cottages to bungalows, town houses and apartments. The Roundle Estate has a mix of houses and bungalows, while Blake’s Mead is a newer part of the village.

A cottage may have an existing fireplace and little uninterrupted wall space. A newer room may have a broad blank wall but nowhere sensible for the boxes. We check what is there before deciding how much joinery to add.

We also look at daylight on the screen and how the room is used when the television is off. Storage and shelves should work then too, rather than turning the room into an equipment display.

Misty blue media wall with a screen, oak slats and storage in Lancing Illuminated shelves and oak slatted backing in the Lancing media wall

A family media wall, photographed in Lancing

This Lancing installation is a real AKS example, not a Felpham project. Misty blue cabinetry surrounds a screen and natural oak slats, with light under the shelves.

Drawers and cupboards take the everyday clutter. The games console has a ventilated space, and cable access was considered with the joinery.

We can work through a similar balance of display and closed storage for a Felpham room without copying this layout or colour.

The details a television stand cannot hide

  • The equipment list

We note the screen, console, router and sound system before drawing. Bring model numbers if you want to keep existing pieces.

  • A wall built to carry it

The bracket and construction need to suit the television. We assess the existing wall and specify new support where required.

  • Cables and cooling

Closed cupboards need ventilation for electronics. Power, signal cables and service access stay part of the plan through to fitting.

We also design kitchens in Felpham. See more TV and audio work, plus coverage in Bognor Regis and Yapton. See the full catchment on our West Sussex page.

What needs a home in your Felpham room?

List the equipment, add the screen size and send a photograph of the wall. We can then arrange a measure and a design consultation.
