This kitchen renovation in Steyning, West Sussex, took a different approach to most of our projects. Rather than ripping everything out and starting from scratch, we worked with the client's existing in-frame kitchen, carefully adapting the original units and crafting new, perfectly matching doors where needed. The result is a transformation that respects the character and craftsmanship already built into the room, while bringing the whole space firmly up to date.

One of the standout elements of this project was the brand new oven housing, purpose-built to house a Neff Hide & Slide oven and finished to match the rest of the cabinetry seamlessly, so it looks as though it has always been part of the kitchen's original design.

Colour was entirely the client's choice, and every door and cabinet was hand-painted in a bespoke shade selected especially for this home, giving the finished in-frame kitchen a completely personal and unique character. Alongside the new paintwork, we installed a striking toughened glass splashback for a sleek, easy-to-clean finish, paired with beautiful stone worktops that add warmth, durability and a genuine sense of quality throughout the room.

The finished kitchen strikes a careful balance between old and new, preserving the charm of the original in-frame joinery while feeling completely refreshed, refined and tailored to the client's own taste from start to finish. It's a great example of how a bespoke kitchen renovation doesn't always mean starting over, sometimes the best results come from working thoughtfully with what's already there.
