Misty blue media wall with a screen, oak slats and storage in Lancing

A considered TV wall for your East Preston room

A television does not have to dictate the whole living room. We design and build media walls in East Preston, with storage, screen position and sound planned together.

Low rooms and long garden views

East Preston’s housing includes pre-war detached houses, post-war bungalows and older homes around The Street and Sea Road. Its coastal streets have a different scale from a new open-plan room.

In a bungalow, the depth of a media wall can take a noticeable amount from the living space. We measure the sofa distance and the routes to doors first, then decide whether a shallow panel, fitted cupboards or a new framed wall makes sense.

For rooms looking towards a garden or the sea, we also consider light on the screen. A bigger television is not always the first improvement to make.

Storage and a screen, shown in Lancing

These photographs show a real AKS media wall in Lancing, included as a general example rather than an East Preston installation.

The misty blue unit combines oak acoustic panelling, lit shelves and deep storage. A ventilated space keeps the games console out of sight.

For a smaller room we can reduce the cabinetry and keep the same care over cable access, screen height and the view from the sofa.

Enough wall, without losing the room

  • The right depth

We work from the bracket, cables and equipment sizes. Any new frame is kept proportionate to the room and properly supported.

  • Storage that is useful

Cupboards can hold boxes and controllers, while open shelves need room for the objects you want to keep on display.

  • A serviceable installation

Ventilation and access are drawn in before the finish is chosen. Equipment should remain reachable once the wall is complete.

We also design kitchens in East Preston. See our media wall designs and neighbouring coverage in Ferring and Rustington. See the full catchment on our West Sussex page.

Start with the sofa position

Send a picture from where you normally sit, plus a wider view of the room. We can arrange an East Preston visit to check the screen position and wall.
